The painting came quickly, almost of its own accord. A kind of knowing in the body before the mind had time to interfere. What emerged feels less like an answer than a place to rest, somewhere between instinct and tenderness, earth and skin, the seen and the half-seen.
Light as a feather and heavy as roots of an ancient tree.
