The painting asked for boldness, for movement, for play with abandon. Not stressing about taking up so much space, and free to play, free to stain, spill, scribble. It was all allowed. Bold and unapologetic.

This beautiful work is thick and agitated. And it is loose and relaxed. It has a lightness. Not afraid to be beautiful, not afraid to be ugly. . there is a breathiness about it. the colors are unexpected the combination. The chartreuse green, the rust red, light lavender, warm mustard yellow. the focus is n the left middle of. the work, light green, peach washes, thin layers, thck strokes confidently, white, purple red, hot red.
