This Is It no.1 is a bright burst of growth. After a dormant winter, seeing evidence of life.
While in the studio making the work I kept saying, “this is it”, in my mind.
I had the feeling as if I have arrived. As if I have found where I am supposed to be.
Making art. Pushing the pigments and paints around. Making beauty and life-giving marks and splashes explode on the canvas.
